If your camper aspires to become a camp counselor someday, they can start by joining our Leadership Training Program. This program will provide them with the necessary skills and tools to be a camp counselor. As part of the program, Ventures and CITs will take on increasing responsibilities as they demonstrate their capabilities. They will also need to fill out a mock job application. The volunteer year acts as a long interview for a camp counselor position. If camp counselors and staff are impressed, a job offer may be extended for the following summer. Campers must complete the Venture program before progressing to CIT, and CIT before becoming a Volunteer.
